Our Music Is Free

BR is proud to announce the release of Unlocked, our follow-up EP to Rattle the Windows, and we have a modest proposal for you: please download it all and pass it on to your friends. Forget about the so-called "pay what you want" model. We're absolving you of your guilt. All of our new tracks will be released for free under a Creative Commons license. What this means is that you can download, share, remix, and do pretty much anything you want with them as long as you 1) attribute the work to Bloomsday Rising and 2) don't try to make a profit off of them. It's that simple. Already, you can download Ghost Ship, White Knuckles, and Streetlights for free. Many more songs will be available in the near future, so come back soon and download 'til you drop.

Introducing Bricks and Mortar Media: Bloomsday Rising's Multimedia Enabler

BR is proud to announce the birth of Bricks and Mortar Media, a web-based multimedia company that will serve as the band's primary distributor of digital videos, music, and other content that defies easy classification. Be on the lookout for a new music video for Down to the River, which we recently filmed on location in Sutherland, Nebraska. In addition to building a library of multimedia content for the band, Bricks and Mortar Media has big plans to create a venue in San Francisco, as well as a number of exciting projects in the pipeline, so check back often for more updates.

Bloomsday Rising Collaborates with Grammy-winning Sound Engineer, Oz Fritz

The band's debut release, Rattle the Windows, is available on Amazon and iTunes. You can also get an analog copy from CD Baby if you prefer listening to music on little round plastic disks. The tracks were remixed and mastered at Prairie Sun recording studios by legendary producer and sound engineer, Oz Fritz. In addition to working on numerous projects with Bill Laswell, Oz has earned acclaim for his work on Tom Waits' Grammy-winning album, Mule Variations.
